that was SOOOO great to see all of you leaving comments in the inbox. I am VERY impressed with the four or five of you who really banded together to boost that comment count! it made me laugh out loud this morning to get all those comments. I am actually wondering if it is even going to put my post today through or how this whole funky thing works. but either way - be prepared to be wowed with even further drivel from my sarcastic mind now that i am paying for this bad boy! I am going to be here at least once a day posting whatever random events are occurring in my life. and you have all hereby vowed to not me get the dreaded echo of emptiness. I will also hereby vow to those of you who took the time to comment on mine, I will be there every day commenting for you. now if i can just figure out that gol dang blog roller thingy. anyone? anyone?

hmmm - friday, the sun is shining, there are garage sales GALORE.... and i think, no i KNOW i will be hitting a few of them with my best friend. ok i'll confess. i have already hit one today - scored a pretty new double stroller for $15. not that we really USE our double, but ever since the wheels popped off, it has been a little hard. i will have to post that fun story some other day when i am really hard up for crap to blog about. but anyways , since that time, we have made do on our single stroller, and i mean honestly, kealey is FOUR now, and perfectly capable of walking. but sometimes, you know, her little legs can't quite push that bike all the way down to the park, so i end up carrying a bike and pushing a large stroller and how much easier would it be to just PUSH them both? there have been more than a few instances like this where my double would have come in handy. so i figured i would get at least $15 worth of use out of it this summer alone. and since i will probably start contemplating baby #3 in the fall sometime ( i have to be able to fly cross country in January for work - so definitely not till July can we even begin to think about this!!!), I am sure a double will be a must have at some point in the mid - to- near future. wow that is wierd to put that out there like that. i have always known we would have more than two kids, but to actually say - ok i am almost ready to think about #3 - makes it a little more real.

NO I AM NOT CURRENTLY PREGNANT.

so anyways - hoping to score a few good things at garage sales today. when i come home I am going to burn my mojito lime tart. i am VERY excited for that one, although i think it will probably only force me to want to go DRINK a real mojito. and those are HARD to find here in podunk southwest chicago suburbs let me tell you.

uuuuhhhhhhh - what else. I finished up one of my photo swap pages for the GMD team. How did i get the honor of doing traci's photos? that girl scares me to death she is so amazingly talented. There is an incredible amount of talent on that team. i still to this day have no idea what stroke of luck enabled me to be able to make gina's team. I think she was probably scared i would fly out to NY for real and stalk her if i wasnt put on the team. that is the only scenario that makes sense to me. but anyways - i finished up my LO of traci's darling son colin asleep. I am only posting this here on my blog cause it needs some color. no way in heck is this puppy going into a gallery! *edited to remove snarky comment regarding myself* (but i am betting that more than a few of you will be able to figure out what i was going to type there! WINK WINK!!!)

oh my gosh

what am i going to do with only one day left?

i HATE this pressure to make a decision!!!gonna pop a few more reese's pieces with peanuts and mull it over is what i'm a-gonna do!

i am FINALLY tackling my office. The girls went to babysitter's today - i took EVERYTHING out, put hubby to work hanging shelves and whatnot, and am now actually addressing my lack of a filing system. I mean, sure with only one project going it was perfectly acceptable to throw everything into one drawer with no rhyme or reason...but now with my third project and lots of other intermediary info floating around - i am going NUTS!

So hopefully i will feel much more peaceful about the work sitch with my files organized. now if i could just get the rest of the family to buy into the whole - mommy's office is not the playroom/dirty dish collector/poker room - concept - things would be GOLDEN baby! That is highly unlikely to happen anytime in the forseeable future, however, so i guess it is just time for me to adjust MY attitude about the whole thing. Which i will. After a few more reese's pieces boxes. Tonite we have a church softball game - i am still sort of up in the air about whether to go play, or hang out with my best friend and the kids at her house - while our husbands play. Dunno. I normally would love to play, but it is a tweed bit cold tonite, and i just - sometimes you just want to sit and gab with your friend rather than go play ball ya know?
Last week there were so many girls (you have to have at least two girls on the field/roster at all times) - i didn't even get in - and so we sat there in the cold rain for nothing, with my kids sliding around the playground the whole time. So tonite, it is at least not rainy, but still, a little cold, and BF offered to keep kids at her house so i could play, but - i am just not fully convinced this is the total right move.

why am i rambling about this here?

7. When something is 'new and improved!'. Which is it? If it's new, thenthere has never been anything before it. If it's an improvement, thenthere must have been something before it, couldn't be new.

8. When people say "life is short". What the hell?? Life is the longestdamn thing anyone ever does!! What can you do that's longer?

9. When you are waiting for the bus and someone asks "Has the bus come yet?". If the bus came would I be standing here, dumbass?

{3 days...}

Only three days left on my typepad trial. what ever am i going to do?

although I do get by with a little help from my friends - you know who you are (julie) who are shamelessly pushing me to spend my hard earned money on a ridiculous effing BLOG!!! but that's ok. sometimes i just need that push and wasn't  i just ASKING for a push yesterday? this sinus headache i am fighting right now is kicking my a-double snakes  like a mo-fo. {have I mentioned that I firmly believe in faux swearing??? try it sometime - it's liberating.}

ahhh - the hubby on vacation all week. we are not doing a darn thing. which is precisely the problem. we dont DO ANYTHING. nothing.  he will get a wild hair up his butt on like friday nite that we should re-arrange our entire house - and we will waste the weekend doing that. meanwhile, we have wasted this entire week with hubby getting to go play golf and poker on a whim never realizing - when do *i* get *MY* vacation? as a mom, seriously - when is your vacation? never. you are always at the office.

ok i am not even going to start on that topic cause my head hurts JUST badly enough that i will launch into full on fugly beyotch mode REAL quick. and that is not what this post is all about.

anyways.

the weather is finally turning nicer so that is very welcomed.

i have nothing of importance to write about at the moment. or at any other moment for that matter. but i am going to stop the mindless rambling and hopefully have something a little funner to say in a few hours after a few stiff drinks and some OTC meds. mixed together. highly recommended for a fun nite.

BUNCO baby!!!

oh my GOSH (insert mouth gaping in shock smiley here) - i only have FOUR more days left of my typepad trial?!?!?!?! - QUICK - someone help me make a decision! I SUCK at making them for myself!

i will PROBABLY go with it. I do like the ease of it much better over blogger. and if i got my a-double snakes in gear, i COULD make it much cuter than at blogger. and you know, cute blogs are REALLY all that life boils down to.

so hmmmm - choices choices.

today was NOT as productive as I had hoped it would be. True, I did cross two huge things off my work to do list. and i DID manage to keep the kitchen area under some sort of controlled chaos. AND i got the fourteen baskets of laundry folded and put away. (okmaybe it was only four). But i just feel like such a housemaking failure most days. I do'nt get done what i WANT to, i focus on the wrong things, then feel bad for not getting those other things done, and yet i can't usualy find a way to pull myself out of this cycle until faced with a horrible deadline. I either put off work till the last frantic minute, or i put off cleaning the house till we have a big BBQ or something - just a horrific cycle. What is the secret? The one big project a day thing DOES help focus me, But then i feel like i lose focus once I have accomplished that task.  typing it out here the other day did help a little bit as well. when i CHALLENGE myself, i rise to the challenge, I truly do. I just don't have the self discipline to truly challenge myself on a day in day out basis.

HOLY LORD!!!!!!! nogging turns into teeny bopper PORN at 5 pm!!!! I swear to you, this usually GREAt preschool television channel just showed a commercial of two teenage girls kissing. I mean to each their own and all that happy horse-shecaca, but HONESTLY - we were just watching freaking LITTLE BEAR for crying out loud! GOOD LORD people. I know i have blogged about htis before, but have never actually seen something so BLATANTLY obnoxious before!

oh i am stuffed from too much dinner. And as soon as my sissy gets here I get to be FREE - free for a nite to go to BUNCO!!!! fun times! my bunco group is a crazy bunch of gals whom I love dearly. They ALWAYS make me laugh so hard. and we always have a TON of great fattening foods. not to mention a nite away from the kids - just a little break. And a chance to maybe win a gift cert or some cashola.

then i might be able to hit the fake bake hut. that would just round out this so-so blah day.

Taking the Challenge::

Dianne Rigdon posted on her blog and peas about challenging herself to get away from the computer and up and doing housework/other productive tasks.

So i am taking it.

I spend entirely too much time here. I thought with the laptop it would help the situation, and true, while I am with the kids more in here, i still veg out in front of the screen entirely too often.

So now i am posting my list of things i want to get done in the next hour, then i will check back here in an hour and update my progress.

• Load dishwasher
• sweep floors
• change batteries in leapster for K
• get little ponies game started for K
• rotate laundry loads (x3)
• vacuum TV room (although this is akin to shoveling the snow off the sidewalk 6 hours before the snowstorm is due to end. relatively pointless, but will help me feel better nonetheless.)
• list my work plan for remainder of this week.

What a crazy weekend. It was my best friend's birthday yesterday (how cool is that to be born on NSD i ask you???) anyways - so we all went out and pretended like we were still in our twenties and went to this TOTAL w.t. club. It was so hilarious. I feel sorry for people who that IS their entire lives. It was fun for one crazy nite, but I could not do that club/bar scene for very long. A.) I would need to bring my nebulizer with me to combat the sheer smokiness and how hella cool would THAT look plugged in by the dart machines? and b.) i would just get very bored watching the same idiotic people tryin to hook up nite after nite. As it was I felt like i was watching some bad MTV reality show.

speaking of...

i do not know WHY i continue to watch recockulous shows like Tiara Girls and Sweet 16. I seriously just want to smack some good sense into those children. They are spoiled BRATS and need a good dose of REALITY. "whine whine, daddy wo'nt buy me my $87 thousand dollar car - he doesn't LOVE me!!! pout pout" GET A LIFE. I know, I am the one with the life cause i sit there and WATCH that crap, but ya know, sometimes there just ain't a whole lot on.

So tonite we are having a barbecue at our house. The first of the season! ben wants me to clean the house. i am like - WHY? the whole point of a BBQ is to GO OUTSIDE, not sit around looking at what I have or have not dusted in my house!!! Whatev.

so i should probably go do that.

i am thinking if i havent blogged with any kind of regularity, how good of a deal is typepad going to be for me? but then again, once i am actually paying for something, maybe it will spur me on to actually use it.

that hasn't yet worked with the tanning package or gym membership...but you know, maybe the blog thing will get it all into action!

i have GOT to get on a healthy eating plan. that is going to start VERY soon. I gotta blog about it though first.

sometimes saturdays are busy. Sometimes they are just saturdays. today is just saturday.

i have tons of crap i SHOULD be doing - but do'nt really feel like doing any of that. I am in a weird mood. I just dont want to DO anything. I want it to all be done for me! I do'nt even really feel like scrapping - i sort of feel like shopping, but not even sure for what! blah blah blah...

on a more positive note - i got this AWESOME book from the scrap store the other day. It is called freestyle - hopefully it will show up in my books list to the left over there - it is by the Autumn Leaves chicks. MAN those guys know how to put out a good book! Anyways - i was SO inspired by this book - i scrapped two paper layouts last nite that i LOVED - i loved the end result, i loved the process, I loved the fun I had thinking them up- and it was all due to this book. I can't put it into words other than that looking through this book, the layouts just made sense to me. they are messy and chaotic and scribbled on and they just clicked with and for me. I think i have found my style, and this book is it.

now to just be able to translate that same feeling into digital somehow, and i will be one happy clam. I got to paper scrap with a good friend lst nite and it was just a great nite - just what i needed after sitting in sucktastic traffic for four hours aftr picking up my kids from my mom.  It is gorgeous weather here today. gorgeous. which brings me back to my first point - that it should not be a wasted day - yet i find i have no motivation. why is that?

I am burning a new tart right now - sweet strawberry. it smelled so good through the plastic, i just know it is going to make me want to run up to 7-11 and get a slurpee though - that is how it smells! I got some awesome new tarts at Linens N things last nite cause my sissy is quitting her job there, so we wanted to go on a large spree stocking up with the great discount one last time. I must have gotten seriously like 18 tarts. Caribbean Fruit, honeydew/cucumber, macintosh apples, green apples, summer rain - they all sort of have the same fruity light scent....someday i will break out of this rut i am sure. For now, my house smells like a jamba juice and that is fine by me.

I need to go get some ear candles. I used my last two last week but i STILL feel off balance. going up my stairs feels like taking off in a 757. I did the advanced Pilates and had softball team practice the other nite (on the same day) and i am STILL so sore.... I am definitely definitely definitely falling apart. Top ten signs that the 30th birthday is looming near. But that is a topic i would rather put off for a few more months. Gag me.

Ok i am ready for some exciting news now! Anything! a paycheck, a surprise in my inbox, an unexpected invitation to some random design team for a short term - anything will do.

{frustrating}

ok so obviously the grass ain't always greener! I have spent a good half hour trying to fix the blog header. I mean, yes this obviously is of utter importance to my life to have wasted THAT much time on it. alas - i have four different versions - and none of them are right. this is the best of the bunch and will have to do for now.

today i will probably have to start my real work again! been a nice little break, but - the paychecks are nice too!! I have at least five loads of laundry to do/fold/put away, and then possibly friends coming over tonite. and a big survivor tonite!!! we FINALLY get to know who gets medi-vac'd out of there! I thought for sure it was going to be the idiot last week with this umm nether regions rash. but apparently not.

Oh the exciting things in my life hey? I am worried about who has medical issues on a reality show.

WOW.

Anyways - beautiful weather here lately has been a good boost towards helping me keep the house clean - i have WAY more energy when it is nice outside for some reason... that seems really strange now that i say it out loud (or type it out loud) - but...it is what it is i guess!

i feel like i hvae more i want to write but i NEED to go get in the shower after my brisk Pilates workout this morning - so - i will be back later. hopefully i can get the blog header to work now too!

Something New

Trying to see if typepad really IS worth all the hype. i just could'nt face posting a nice long post about my new laptop baby, my vacation, and all my new cute pics and layouts and having blogger randomly lose it!

so here we go with a fun new adventure - maybe. Lord knows i am probably way too much of a tight-a$$ to actually pay the moneyfor this - but we will see...

So - it seems like it has been so eternally long since I have blogged that I do'nt even know where to begin catching up!

LAPTOP - yes i got it. I love it. Am typing on it right now. It is a thing of beauty. someday when i have showered and put make up on, I will take a picture of me hugging my new bundle of joy. Then you can all revel in the beauty of my17 inch screen, 200 gig hard drive, duo processor baby. I scrapped ten pages on vacation. TEN!!!! in the car, in the backyard, dying of boredom at the MIL's house...it was amazing. I am SO glad I took the plunge, even though with the protection plan it was about 400 more than i anticipated spending. But what should my wondering eyes see today but an ad in circuit city (where i bought it) for MY laptop on sale for $300 less! and they refund price differences at 110% - so - hopefully today i will be able to pocket that difference and be happy as a clam!

umm what else...

vacation itself was tons of fun. I took a CRAPLOAD of pics. The girls did ok in the car for 15 hours - MUCH better on the way down there than on the way home, but what can you expect? I was pretty overall proud of them and it was so neat to just get away and be able to see them through their grandma's eyes - it made me love them even more all over again - through new eyes in a new way being removed from our everyday circumstances.

I am still catching up on laundry. i thought i was doing good to have separated it all out before we left MIL's house - but dang i have been movin slow since we came back. we came back to GORGEOUS weather here in IL - spring has finally reached us - and it is just so hard to get into a housework routine again when i would WAY rather be out buying cute new spring clothes. although before i go nuts on that i SERIOUSLY need to drop the poundage so i can get CUTE clothes. But that is a WHOLE OTHER blog post.
